Throngs of Vietnamese line up every Sunday morning as women furiously assemble what I consider to be the best sandwich in Atlanta. Period. My daughter, “Big A” has the same sentiment. “Little A” would agree by the way he clutches this beauty on our frequent trips to Quoc Huong.

The Banh Mi sandwich is a product of French Colonialism fusing classic French ingredients (yummy baguette, mayonnaise, and pate) with more traditional Asian flavors (fish sauce, cilantro, and pickled carrots and daikon). It can be stuffed with a variety of fillings including My Little Foodies’ favorite BBQ pork. Shredded chicken, pate, and simply veggie are also delish (hold the jalepeños for the little ones). The prices, $2.50 (buy 5, get 1 free) is pretty unfathomable for this delicious creation. Don’t think you can beat anywhere else in town. Run, don’t walk this weekend for the best Banh Mi on Buford!
