North Georgia State Fair: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

In the case of North Georgia’s State Fair, a picture really is worth a thousand words. This has become a family tradition for us, and every year food vendors stun me with their crazy concoctions. While there are a few healthier options, most food offerings contribute to Georgia’s #2 ranking in childhood obesity. I am, however, a firm believer in moderation. So check out the photo gallery of the good, the bad, and the ugly vomit-inducing food and rides. Note that I didn’t label them, since when it comes to food at the fair, one person’s “bad” is another’s “good!”

For the serious festival-goer.

Fried banana pudding.

Tough Decisions…Airbrushed tank top or custom, palm tree license plate?

Bringing it back old school style!

“A low-fat food”

No shortage of rides for the little ones.

A southern favorite

Is this legal? Evidently, since this was a county police fundraiser.

Sweet goodness.

A healthy go-to festival favorite (skip the dunk in butter).

Before I had kids…

Spiraling out of control

Speechless…
